Booking and Cancellation Policy

Last Modified: 2/12/2018

This Booking and Cancellation Policy is incorporated by reference and governed by the Terms of Service https://onata.com/legal/terms-of-services/ which contains explanations of defined terms. If the Terms of Service are inconsistent with this Booking and Cancellation Policy, this Booking and Cancellation Policy will control.

Purpose

At Onata, we place your convenience atop all other priorities. We understand circumstantial compulsions might call for the cancelation of an order from either end (Service Seeker or Provider). To facilitate a seamless flow of processes on all ends, our team has devised a dynamic policy of cancelation. This policy, in its entirety, seeks to establish the broad conventions on the manner, scope, and mode and charges (if any) that apply when Service Seekers or Service Providers cancel a confirmed order through the Site.

Since the nature of Services offered and sought through the Site are eclectically diverse, Onata reserves the right to intermittently revise this Cancellation Policy as and when deemed necessary. We encourage our Users to keep revisiting this page and stay updated with our Cancelation Policy.

Methods of Seeking Service

Selecting a Service Provider

A Seeker can select the Services in one of the five following ways. Please review our Terms of Service [https://onata.com/legal/terms-of-services/] regarding payment options.

1. Auto Assign

Auto Assign” is an option where the Seeker leaves the responsibility of selecting a Provider to the Site and the Site assigns a Provider that satisfies the parameters defined by the Seeker.  The list view is not available, in this option. This will be released at a future date.

2. Seeker Select

The “Seeker Select” option lets the Seeker choose from a fully described list of Providers.

3. Reverse Bid

The “Reverse Bid” option exposes the partially masked Provider list to the Seeker and where the Seeker can choose its price and place a bid for the Gig. Once a Seeker submits its bid, it cannot modify it. Seeker also agrees that if its bid is accepted, Onata will confirm the bid and charge the entire amount of the Gig, including any applicable taxes and Platform Fees that will be disclosed to you before submitting a bid, to your method of payment. Your Bid is all inclusive price to the provider  If the Seeker cancels the accepted Reverse Bid booking, Seeker will lose the entire booking amount.

4. Lowest Deal

The “Lowest Deal” is mechanism provided to the Seeker by Providers. The Providers may provide deals on Services and/or Gigs by reducing their hourly rates from time to time. Seekers may opt to choose from Providers who are offering discounted Services on that day. No refunds are allowed. The Seeker is also presented with a masked list of Providers.

5. Request for Quote

Request for Quote” is sent to selected Providers, generally for larger projects (e.g., remodeling a bathroom, installing pavers, etc.) where the Seeker and Provider need to agree on various factors.

Choosing Service Timing

Onata provides two basic ways of getting your Services: (1) on demand (“Need Now”) or (2) Scheduled for Later.

For example, certain Services and/or Gigs may be offered on a fixed price basis, while other Services may be offered on an hourly limited/unlimited basis. Billing options will depend on the Service/Gig and the Provider.
